About the instructor
Bill is a grade A. DVSA Approved driving instructor, which is the highest grade possible, currently around only 25% of UK Driving Instructors are a grade A. Of course this number will change slightly up or down on a yearly basis, as instructors take their standards check.
This has replaced the old Grading system of grades 4, 5 and 6
Bill trained and qualified as a driving instructor locally in 2007 and has been teaching around Newton Abbot since.
He is a strong believer that learning to drive should be a fun and enjoyable experience, and this is what he offers at A1 School of Motoring.
Bill has a calm yet professional approach to teaching at a pace to suit the individual pupils as he is also fully aware that not all students are the same and so your lessons will be tailored to suit your individual needs. There is no pressure and no need to worry about making inevitable mistakes as this is just part of learning to drive. Bill is there to help and encourage you to do well.
About the car
Bill’s office is his lovely Audi A1 TFSI Sport! Fitted with he-man dual controls, I’m sure you will agree it’s a great looking car to learn in.
Having taught in various cars over the years I can honestly say this is the best by far.
It is easy to drive, comfortable with uncomplicated easy to use controls. Along with having all the mod cons you would expect, not only that it’s one of the safest and greenest cars on the road today.
